YW CONNECT – VOLUNTEERING

About Volunteering

As a member of YW Connect, our volunteer program, you can be placed into a variety of areas, either short or long term. Whether helping with event support, donations, our Encore Clothing Market on 12th, or utilizing your other specialized skills, we can find a great fit for you.

Volunteer options include:

  • engaging in our community programs
  • supporting our “grab and go” desk
  • seasonal work like tending to flower beds
  • committee work for our fundraising events
  • and event support 

We would love to have you individually or as a part of a group of friends. Now is the time to get involved, making life better for women in our community! 

Our peer-coordinated education programming will help you learn more about topics that are important to you, increase the quality of your life, and come together socially! 

Requirements

  • Criminal Record CheckAll adult volunteers are required to provide a criminal record check
  • Standing & Lifting**Many volunteer positions will involve standing and lifting, but we are able to provide options for those who may need alternatives.

Community Programs

YWCA Regina’s Community Programs offer many opportunities for volunteers to get involved, and count on enthusiastic and invested volunteers to succeed and help youth and girls thrive.

Experience working with youth and an alignment with YWCA Regina’s values of respect, inclusion, trust, encouragement, and resiliency are key components.

Each volunteer opportunity has different requirements. We are always seeking volunteers for Y’s Kids, Run Club, Upstander in School, Healix, Ourspace, Girlspace, and Big Boost.
