Housing & Crisis Support

SUPPORTING WOMEN & FAMILIES SINCE 1910

Supporting Women and Families in Crisis

At YWCA Regina, we believe every woman and family deserves a safe place to call home—and the dignity of being supported with compassion. For over a century, we have stood as a community ally, walking alongside those navigating homelessness, housing instability, or moments of crisis.

Every day, our team responds to some of the most complex challenges faced by women, children, and families in our community. From the impacts of poverty, violence, and trauma to the systemic barriers that disproportionately affect women and gender-diverse people, we are here—with open doors, open hearts, and wraparound care.

Our housing and crisis support programs provide more than temporary relief. We offer emergency shelter, transitional housing, and long-term supports that create pathways to stability and healing. Through case management, housing navigation, harm reduction, and life skills development, we help women and families build the foundation for secure, permanent homes. Importantly, our outreach continues even after housing is found, ensuring long-term success.

Rooted in trauma-informed practice and guided by our values of love, respect, and allyship, we meet people where they are and walk beside them toward safety, healing, and stability.

Now located in the new kikaskihtânaw Centre for Women and Families, we are deepening our role as a hub of connection and care—a space that reflects the resilience and diversity of our community. Together with strong community partnerships, and by addressing the root causes of homelessness, YWCA Regina is building a future where everyone has a safe place to call home.
