Mental Health Week
Mental Health Week is a time to reflect on the importance of mental well-being and to reduce stigma around mental health challenges. It invites open conversations about how we’re really doing, and reminds us that mental health is part of overall health.
We all experience mental health differently, and there is no single way to navigate stress, grief, anxiety, or burnout. This week encourages compassion—for ourselves and for one another—and recognizes that reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
In Canada, support is available:
- Wellness Together Canada (free mental health support): https://www.wellnesstogether.ca
- Talk Suicide Canada (24/7 support): 1-833-456-4566 or https://talksuicide.ca
- Kids Help Phone (youth support, 24/7): https://kidshelpphone.ca
- CMHA (Canadian Mental Health Association): https://cmha.ca
- 211 Canada (local health & social services): https://211.ca
Mental health matters every week of the year. You are not alone, and support exists in many forms and places.
