This year, PCL Construction is leading the way as our Gifting Hope Sponsor by launching the Gifting Hope Challenge — a call for workplaces, teams, and community groups to come together and support Hope for the Holidays.
Because of your generosity and care, Hope for the Holidays surpassed its $100,000 goal. Your support helped ensure women, children, and families across Regina had access to safety, warmth, and stability throughout the holiday season and beyond.
In Regina, an estimated 824 people are experiencing homelessness—and many of them are women, children, and youth. Each year, over 15,000 individuals walk through YWCA Regina’s doors seeking shelter, counselling, food, childcare, and hope.
Your gift to the Hope for the Holidays campaign helps provide safety, warmth, and stability for those who need it most. From cozy pajamas and bedtime snacks for children to safe shelter and festive meals for families, your kindness ensures that no one is left out in the cold this season.
What is the Gifting Hope Challenge?
The Gifting Hope Challenge is an invitation for businesses, staff teams, community groups, and individuals to host their own fundraisers or giving drives in support of YWCA Regina’s Hope for the Holidays campaign.
No idea is too big or too small — anything that spreads hope counts. Your team could:
Organize a staff giving drive or payroll giving
Host an office fundraiser (bake sale, raffle, jeans day, holiday party donation)
Run a client or customer campaign at your business
Set up a Holiday Store donation bin for new gifts
Plan a team challenge or special event with proceeds to YWCA Regina

Thank you for doubling every dollar donated, doubling the warmth and care you bring to women, children, and youth in our community.

Children’s Housing
YWCA Regina provides care for up to 25 children in need of housing aged 12 years old or younger. In partnership with the Ministry of Social Services, we explore options for the best living arrangement for each child and provide children with a warm, safe, and nurturing environment to promote their well-being. In 2024, we successfully housed 88 children and helped to reunify 42 children with their parents or family members.
Women & Children in our Shelters and Supportive Housing
YWCA Regina operates three emergency shelters including Isabel Johnson Domestic Violence Shelter, My Aunt’s Place, and Joan’s Place, as well as two supportive housing residences, including kikinaw Residence, amowacistin pahkahokowin. Nearly 500 women and children were served by our Women’s Housing programs and services last year. Women and families are connected with wraparound supports and community resources that support their physical and mental health, education, employment, cultural connection, addictions, children’s well-being, and other services they may need to stay housed. While staying with YWCA Regina women and families are able access services such as counselling for those who have experienced violence and homelessness and support for family reunification and preservation.

This campaign also includes the seasonal set up and operation of a Holiday Store, where women, children and families who find themselves with YWCA Regina over the holidays can choose gifts for their loved ones.
To make the season bright for everyone we serve, we’re accepting in-kind donations of new items to stock the store.
A Need, a Read, and a Wish – new items such as pajamas, socks, blankets, backpacks, sweaters, hoodies, books, journals, art or writing supplies, $25 gift cards, and toys like LEGO, craft kits, and dolls.
To help us organize gifts and meet the needs of every resident, all in-kind donations must be arranged through our Holiday Volunteer Team at holidaygifts@ywcaregina.com.
